RETURN TO THE HOMEPAGE                                                                                                                                                                                                                              THE OCEAN LINERS

Welcome to our Funchal website celebrating this well known and elegant Portuguese ship. She was built in 1961 by the Elsinore Shipbuilding Company in Denmark and was the largest ship they had ever built.  She sailed on the Lisbon to Madiera and Azores service. Today she is still in service as a cruise ship and currently sails for Classic International Cruises. She is a most popular and well loved ship and one of the few retaining her original name.
