Welcome to our Santa Rosa website celebrating this remarkable and elegant ship. She was part of a quartet of liners built for Grace Lines "Route of Romance" intercoastal service from New York to California via the Caribbean and the Panama Canal. In 1936 the intercoastal service was closed and the sisters transferred to the Caribbean service. Sadly only two of the sisters survived the Second World War - Santa Rosa and Santa Paula. She continued in service until replaced by the new Santa Rosa and Santa Paula in 1958.

Her Regular Service Route: The US Inter-Coastal Service between the East Coast and the West Coast of the USA via the Caribbean and the Panama Canal

  New York to Havana, Cristobal, the Panama Canal, Balboa, Puntarenas, La Libertad, San Jose de Guatemala, Mazatlan, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Victoria and Seattle "Route of Romance" intercoastal service.
