Welcome to our S/S United States website celebrating this world famous transatlantic ocean liner. When she was first introduced in 1952 she was the ultimate flagship of the American merchant fleet. During her somewhat brief career she has become renowned for her great speed and is the last holder of the coveted “Blue Riband”. Today the United States lingers on laid up in Philadelphia facing an uncertain future.
